Light weight, but I saw how fast I could get 100 reps of 185 on dead lift. Got the first 27 in 45 seconds and then slowed wayyyy down.

It’s been a while since I’ve done light weight and hi reps. I think I prefer heavier weight and low reps because I’m lazy.

New max on dead lift. Pulled 385 tonight.

No straps but I used chalk.

Also wore my blue jeans and cowboy boots. lol Had the quick opportunity to use the gym, didn’t waste it.

Different kind of workout today .

Heat index about 112. Mowed 2 yards.

In between I took a car tire and used it as an exercise tool for 20-30 minutes.

Threw it, did lunges, shoulder presses, held it above my head. All while walking with it.

Time to relax now as I’m SPENT.

Congrats. Bet it felt good. Have more goals?

I’m still working for 405. Hit 385 a while back, pretty sure I have a tad more in me, but I’m not at 405 yet.

Today I did 6x10 of DL, OHP, Squat and Bench. Obviously on the lighter end weight wise.

Goals? Yes. More than I did before. Every trip is either more reps or more weight. I'll be really happy when I hit 500 next year. Hoping for 450 by June

It did feel really good to hit that mark as that's a weight I have tried twice and went from not budging, to moved the bar a couple inches to a complete rep. Had I not been @ Planet Fitness there would have been a loud whoot!

Congrats on 405! It took me a while to get there a couple of years ago. I used Nick Bare’s 12-week deadlift program.

Do you only deadlift using a Smith Machine?

I use free weights whenever possible but the majority of it is Smith Machine.

Yes, they suck, don't count, etc but it's what I have available which is better than nothing.

Smiths aren’t the same as a bar, but they are infinitely better than nothing. Nothing is what most people are doing, and I doubt most could move anything close to 400 (heck 300) on a smith.

    Congrats on your achievement.

Yesterday I finished 6 x 10 on DL with a set of 250 x 10. 250 x 10 is close to the limit for me when it comes to using a double overhand grip. I even tried the hook grip but it made it more difficult for me.
