185 is light weight I know, but at rep 35 today, I was really feeling it.

Goal for me is to double my weight or more compared to my body weight. A pr for me at 340 would make me extremely happy. I have been dealing with arthritis from an autoimmune disease (psoriasis) that I finally got under control. 340 is the goal, anything higher then that before squattober would make me cry

Good luck with that! How much does the psoriasis affect you lifting?

I got 320 x 3 last week on squat, but I’m fat at 180. lol

Squatting 260ish, just in socks now. That Good advice (deadlifting sans shoes too)

In my deadlifts, being that I am limited to the smith machine, the bottom of the plates are a good 4" off the floor. Should I try and get some elevation by standing on plates or as I mostly lift on the machine, just call it good as is?

JD, hows the DLing with the Smith? Always imagined the DL would be more Smith friendly than Smith squatting..

It's not so bad once you get used to it. I still prefer a real bar etc. but it's all that I have access to at the moment.

Specific joints or just joints in general. Do you have arthritis?
Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right.

I picked up a pair of Chucks couple of weeks ago, good for lifting....not so good for running.
