This is my 870P setup:
Vang Comp Systems barrel w/ XS Big Dot Tritium Bead/Pedestal front sight
VCS +1 mag extension w/ forward sling mount
VCS SS mag follower
VCS dome safety**
Speedfeed IV-S stock**
Surefire DSF-870
Aridus Q-DC
BFG VCAS w/ BFG M16 Buttstock adapter
Midwest Industries Loop End Plate Sling Mount (just in case)
**I am left-handed, many of us southpaws find the 870 safety less than ideal to operate. What I've found is the combination of the pistol grip stock and large dome safety allows me to swipe off the safety with my thumb, in a similar motion as the 1911 and return it to safety with a straight trigger finger.
I’m a lefty too and there are currently no left hand safety conversions available for an 870.
I have a couple of old metal ones installed on a 760 and a Norinco 870 clone and a plastic Fortmans left hand safety on a Tac14. None of the conversion safeties inspire confidence.
I’d say I’m intrigued by this thumb method.
I might pick up a pistol grip stock just to try it out.

No rear sight?
Are you loyal to the constitution or the “institution”?
Buy it and have it sent to a family member who DOESN’T own an 870 of any flavor.
Having one of these plus a non-SBS 870 theoretically could = constructive possession of an in-registered SBS (if both are in YOUR possession at the same time). In today’s environment I wouldn’t gamble. Not with some of the dumb shit we’ve seen ATF do recently.
