Thread: What was the last TV Show or Movie you saw, and did you like it?

Just saw 'Warfare.' A+ movie, brutal and well executed. Did exactly what it set out to do. Absolutely worth watching in theaters.

One of those fantastic movies that I would recommend to anyone interested in the subject matter, and that I never want to watch again. This and Generation Kill are what I'd point people to if they wanted to watch something genuine (by Hollywood standards) about the Iraq war.

I'm not even going to rate this one. it's uh ... different. It did keep my interest enough to finish it.

Everybody is in it. Chris Pratt, Milly Bobby Brown, Woody Harrelson, Alan Tudyk, Holly Hunter, Ann Russo, and more.

I'd be interested in other people's opinion.
I just finished this one. I liked it a lot. Different and interesting. The messaging was a little heavy handed but overall I thought it was well done.

We watched Speak No Evil, thought it has James McAvoy that Scottish actor in it he’s always great should be a good movie.

No it wasn’t, although his acting and character were top notch. Not even he could save that crappy flick.

Being a bit of an anime fan - watching season three of Bleach. I like the story - as usual anime characters power up to new levels as needed. Like if they didn't do that at first the story would be over.

I binge watched 2 Taylor Sheridan TV shows...on purpose. And 2 more accidentally.
I watched Landman on purpose. I had seen several clips and it looked interesting.
Lioness, which I didn't know was a Sheridan show was next.
Next came Tulsa King, another one I didn't realize was Sheridan's.
Finally, out of self loathing, I watched 1923.

I watched 1883 a couple of years ago.

Two things that Sheridan shows have in common(for me) is that after the first couple of eps I am fast forwarding through them like they are porn movies, and the other is that by mid season I'm wishing for all his characters to be captured by Apaches.

I just got home from taking my grandson and a couple of his buddies to see Sinners. I didn't really know anything about it so I had no preconceived notions. It was good. The music was outstanding. If you see it, stay all the way through the credits for the outakes.

Excellent. Michael B. Jordan plays identical twins to good effect. They're Great War vets. who return home after being Chicago gangsters. They open up a Juke Joint in an old lumber mill and everything goes swimmingly, until the vampires show up.....

Excellent performances by everyone, outstanding cinematic work, cool guns. I've seen goobtube reviewers criticizing it for "making it all about race". Well, how in hell do you tell a story with a blackcentric cast, set in Mississippi in 1932 and not have a strong racist component? If that's all you can take away from it, I suggest you go home and have some serious self-reflection, because you have a problem.

My only criticism: that BAR doesn't get nearly enough screen time. Shame, shame.

    Highly recommended.
We may lose and we may win, but we will never be here again.......

I'm on episode 3 of season 2. I'll give it a four out of five stars so far. It's written and produced by Taylor Sheridan so of course he's put himself in a few episodes. There's a lot of star powering in it. Zoe Saldaña, Michael Kelly, Nichole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman.
I'm enjoying it, but it is an over the top "go Merica" show. The show makes no apologies for it's America is good and China is evil theme. It does't portray middle eastern countries, or countries who name ends in "stan" very well either. The main characters, the good guys, are absolutely operating outside the law, but they are doing "wrong" things for the right reason.

I'm watching it on Paramount+. Even with a subscription Paramount+ shows are supported by ads. I've noticed the most popular shows have the most ads. Starting episode 4 of season 2, I've yet to see an ad. I guess it's too Merica for most cowardly libtard advertisers.

One character I found interesting is "Bobby" played by Jill Wagner. Her character is a real butch dike.

I'm not passing this off as great art, but it is entertaining. If you find yourself with some free time, give it a shot.

The Order (airing on Hulu) didn't suck too badly. But there were some parts that had me wanting to throw something at the TV.

Mobland on Paramount is interesting if for no other reason that Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren are in it.
