The wife and I went to the new Jack Reacher movie last night. I really enjoyed the first one, this one was pretty meh. Very predictable and just seemed to be going through the motions. My wife liked it, but that was probably just a Tom Cruise thing.

Finally saw The Revenant. Perhaps the moat visually striking movie i've ever seen.

Get ready for some really interesting, thought provoking SF on Netflix. Black Mirror, a series which explores the near future in a sharp, compelling and provocative way. My humble suggestion is to skip episode 1 of the first series (episodes are self contained and do not follow a story line, so no worries there).

Start pedaling with episode 2 and get going. Not too fast, this is a series I would not recommend binge watching.

I enjoyed the story and the action sequences. According to imfdb, Ben Affleck trained with Scott Reitz for the film, and his weapons handling looked pretty decent.

I've only seen 1 movie (13hrs) this yr. but w/ Scott having worked w/ Affleck I *may* make 2.

Bored me to tears. We both stayed through to the end. I was hoping for something to like about the flick. Color me let down.
In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

X-Men Apocalypse - kind of silly but had some telling points. Totally felt for Magneto as a Holocaust survivor. Best moment was when Jean Grey went all Phoenix on the bad guy. They blew the Phoenix concept the last time they tried it.

2 old school flixs with my daughter as we took down her braids- In the Heat of the Night and the original Thomas Crown Affair. Only after the second one did I realize they were directed by the same man-Norman Jewison.
Portier and Steiger were great and Steve McQueen was simple super "cool".

Southpark - a laugh riot when the boys take on a national anthem protest to support boy rights. Also, when Gerald trolling is caught by his wife and he pretends that it is looking at a particular gross form of porn. However, she says that she will be into it, leading him to horror!

Their ongoing commentary of the election is also quite funny.
