I was disappointed when I found out it was just Charlize Theron. Movie looks stupid, but I'll watch it. I find I can enjoy a lot more things (a) not paying a ticket price, and (b) not investing the effort of waitlisting it from the library. In order to be bad in a constant stream of cheap push-button-and-receive entertainment, you've gotta be like, Michael Bay levels of shit.

PS--I just pushed button, currently watching The Old Guard. HDR and such also makes it hard for me to really hate a movie.
I didn't make the Althea connection, but I see it now. I did seriously think she was a guy for the first few seconds of screen time.

She and Kiki Layne, who was apparently was also in the Old Guard, were grand marshals for the last NASCAR races at Pocono. Apparently some NASCAR fans thought they were an odd choice.

I found The Old Guard very much like Pages 1 through 10 of Pornhub. I know this is supposed to entertain me, but it's...too generic.

I finally watched Velvet Buzzsaw and found it kind've okay. I don't particularly like Jake Jillin'hall (I'm legit not going to look up how to spell his name), but his performance was easily Nightcrawler-grade.

Theron is one of the most beautiful women ever....IMO. She is pretty high mileage and probably shows it up close.

Sadly she is a full-on libtard. Her acting chops were impressive in "Monster". Gary Oldman level of morphing into the character. Watched "A Million Ways To Die In The West" again a couple weeks ago and was reminded that she also has good comedic chops. It's a silly movie, but it makes me laugh.

Watched an episode of "Beforeigners" last night based upon the mentions here. Enjoyed it and will continue with the series.

(I also downloaded "The Pact" for future viewing.)

I'm three episodes in on ZeroZeroZero. I started watching it based solely on a single Instagram post from the other day and I like it. Especially the Mexican side of the story. I find things happening south of the border far more interesting these days than other crime based tv shows and movies. We had the mafia era of the 70s-00s, the middle eastern terrorism era of the 80s-the present, and hope to see more stuff about Narco/Cartel stuff in the future.

I really wanted to get into this show but I found the presentation tedious...and so quit. Was curious if I found any parallels to some of the cases I worked on.

We're watching Only the Brave, a new sitcom.

Can I say how much laugh tracks suck? They seriously blow. the producers who use them have to be seriously low-wattage.

The show sucks, too. Deleting this recording

Watched "Fallen" with Denzel Washington and John Goodman last night. Wifey is out of town and doesn't go for the demonic stuff in movies so I watched it while she wasn't around.
