Watching "Trapped" on amazon prime video. Interesting murder / mystery, based in Iceland.

Me too, while the wife was out Black Fridaying.

I though the action sequences were pretty good but didn’t love it beyond that.

Also, I don’t live in a theater, so I’m tired of movies sound leveling requiring me to swing the volume control between extremes constantly to be able to hear dialogue and not need to warn neighbors down the block that they need earpro during action scenes.

    Yes?

As a gun geek, I appreciated the fact that I don't think a single Glock was in the movie, but Cold War East Berlin appeared appropriately stocked with Makarovs, Stechkins, and CZs. Even a Manhurhin showed up in the hands of the French. I like those little touches - kudos to the film armorer.

Hell, technically the '00s are a historical period now.

1980's in Germany? Definitely a period of historical significance.

Just to add a little to the Atomic Blonde post I made when I saw it - the fact that Theron was the main actress adds to the appeal but not the story. If it was a random guy, doin the James Bond thing the story would progress almost identically and may actually have been believable as a 140lb woman isn't gana take on a 220lb fit dude who is not play fighting.

But its a movie, after all.

That professor x guy was the best part of the film.

Fuck me, when did I get this old?
I passed a 1967 Pontiac Firebird on the road today. Then it dawned on me that the car was 50 years old. Holy Crap!

I do appreciate that sort of detail. On The Son, one of the women had a S&W M&P with a mushroom-head extractor rod.

But damn, I want to beat the Foley guys about the head and shoulders with their adding four clicks whenever somebody draws a 1911 or a Glock.

Thor Ragnarok - gives lie to the idea of bringing a knife to a gun fight if you are the Goddess of Death. Fun movie.
