Havoc starring Tom Hardy. Everyone down to the lowest hood rat is John Wick in this one. Stupid, over rought and frankly, boring.

The Last of Us, season 2. I wasn't terribly invested in season 1, so that didn't help. Two episodes in and I'm done. I haven't played the game, so that doesn't color my impression, but I've had enough of midget girl bosses with bad attitudes. Pedro getting killed was fine, since I get tired of the angsty emo-boy vibe he brings to every role. The problem is, his was the only mildly interesting character in the whole thing.

Mobland. Another Hardy vehicle with nothing that makes it stand out. Typical organized crime tropes seen in even effort of this type. Yawn.

Last of Us - it supposedly follows the game. I'm still watching but not interested in love life episodes. The Righteous Gemstones ended - got to love Walton as Baby Billy. Good tactical lesson - train your service monkey to retrieve your home SD gun when you need it.

Watching a fair bit of anime. Gave up NHK sumo as the talent is less than mediocre nowadays. Found some interesting foreign emphasis food shows on Tubi to kill time. They have some military shows but they are pretty lame and full of errors.

Ransom Canyon: think Yellowstone for the CW crowd. The wife and I made it through one episode and she firmly stated,"no more of that." Word, sister.

Turning Point: Vietnam Netflix docu-series. I'm finding it fairly engaging. It's really nothing new. But, there is greater focus on interviews with Vietnamese villagers and their view of the war, which usually isn't given a lot of time.

Couldn't agree with this more. I had high hopes for it between Tom Hardy and Timothy Olyphant but it flat out sucked and literally everything involving guns (never ending ammo! free bullets for all! everything's a machine gun!) and gun handling drove me crazy.

I wanted to like this. It was hyped pretty well, and looked good. Which makes it more disappointing.

Saw The Accountant 2 last night and really liked it. Was a big fan of the first film, and was glad that this one wasn't a straight retread of the first (like many sequels tend to be) and that the characters ended in a better place than they started. Unexpectedly funny and feel good. Had heart, felt earnest.

Sir David Attenborough Planet Earth 3. Interesting and relaxing. Fascinating bit on orcas herding and hunting rays, fishermen dealing with seals jumping into their nets and then trying to let the seals get away by signaling them. Which the seals seemed to learn.

Watched MI-2 maybe for the second time. Crazy action of course, but I've clearly missed something in my handgun training. How do you perform a reload while riding a motorcycle at 100 mph while dogging bullets and careening cars?

We just finished RiffRaff on Prime. Pretty impressive cast, Ed Harris, Jennifer Coolidge, Bill Murray among others. They touted it as a dark comedy and it was certainly dark, but not a lot of comedy. Sort of Reservoir Dogs meets Pulp Fiction, but more the former. It was $5.99 on sale, glad we didn't have to pay the full $9.99.
