When the time comes to evaluate 12 Strong, this is a good companion read. A lot of New Mexico action going on here.

Binge watched Godless on Netflix. Not bad....less picky when I’m laying on the couch with a busted leg.

Maybe you should be watching re-runs of "Gunsmoke", Chester!

On Netflix: "Bad Day For The Cut"

Interesting, quirky film taking place in Northern Ireland. Not great...but definitely worth a watch and enough action to keep it entertaining.

My son and I saw 12 Strong tonight. We enjoyed it. I thought it was done very well.

Did you read the book? I did years ago. Been nervous about seeing the movie.

Saw 12 Strong tonight. I give it a 7.5, maybe 8 out of 10. It's an abridged version of the book, which doesn't do the movie or the characters any favors. It skips along, hitting the high points. Enjoyable enough, if not a masterpiece.

Den of Thieves: imagine Heat done with a gritty sensibility but without Michael Mann's direction, or the gravitas of Pacino and De Niro. Meh.
