In an effort to save myself from myself I found a nit to pick with that Turnbull. It’s a round barrel and I want an octagon. Hopefully it’ll be enough to stop me…

    A couple fun videos,

First one is shooting black powder 44-40 loads at the 300 meter steel plates,

Second is shooting a 357 carbine at 1000 yards offhand at a 24" plate,

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”

    Octagons are heavier.

True but a .45 octagon is lighter than a .357 so I'll have that going for me. Not to mention the style points.

I'm watching this right now and came here to see if anyone had posted it yet. I'm pretty excited for this gun.

They talk about the possibility of having a lower top rail to reduce height-over-bore of sights/optics since the gun doesn't need a gas system or charging handle. I really hope that becomes an option on the production versions. Hopefully with a longer handguard as well.

Ruger and Marlin announced the 336 today.

The website says the 1894 will be coming in summer.
