When these pop up on the website, can someone flag the thread? Nothing yet that I can see.

Just saw another email that said that the responses to the first one crashed their site. :-D
I guess there's some interest in Henrys with a side gate. Who knew, right?
My first purchase will be a steel framed 45/70 followed by a 44 mag
I may actually go full hipster and get a large loop carbine in .327 fed mag now.

Unless I am mistaken, and please correct me if I am, Henry lever rifles with the side gate feature still retain the tube loading design. This does make unloading these rifles easier. But in early rifles this was a weak link but now has been corrected. I like Henry's and have owned 4 and each one required being sent back to correct defects. Once received, they worked. A common complaint is that when the tube is loaded to capacity, the lever will fly open. I roll cans and shoot hogs with mine. If I was fooling around in bear country, I would carry an older Marlin 45-70. If it sounds as if I'm talking shit about Henry lever guns, I'm not. The company will bend over backward to service their products. My Henry 45-70 is a nice rifle. My favorite.
