I found smaller fixed blade knives such as Allen Folts Minimalist or the CRKT version of that design as well as a Strider SLCC work better if you need a smaller pocket able UTILITY knife. These are quicker to deploy and usually much stronger than a folder. A multi-tool is my usual go to.
My concealment defense blade rides at 8-9 o'clock IWB.

If the type of utility that those blades provide for you is sufficient then awesome. I was referring to the multi-functional aspects which folding blades like the DPx HEST, some Emersons, Striders and Benchmades provide.

My pocket folder is a waved Delica, so the potential for something getting caught in the hole or on the wave is there.
