Regal Theaters won't be getting anymore of my money.
It's primarily to search for contraband candy and snacks from the outside, and to give a warm fuzzy to customers who don't know better.
Personally, I would never bring a gun in a backpack to a movie theater.

Guess I'm not sure: what is the difference between Regal doing this and, say, Disney or Sea World theme parks doing this?
I guess unless I get patted down or a TSA-style X-ray, why is this a huge deal?

Because it puts them in the same retarded category as Disney or Sea World.
Their business and they can choose to run it in any manner they see fit; just like I have the option of not giving them any of my money.
What do they intend to do in CHL states. In TX I haven't see one posted properly so are they going to begin refunding money if they find a gun on someone?
