Federal Fusion .223 62 grain MSR load

I have heard that the Federal Fusion .223, 62 grain load, MSR, F223MSR1, is essentially a LE bullet, loaded to .223 velocity, and that it is a good AR load for defensive use, that is commonly available. Is this correct?

That's what has been reported. But each of Wiggin's tests of a Fusion rifle load has shown juuust enough penetration for LE standards. Less than I've found published for Gold Dots.

Didn't Wiggin's test use a handloaded Fusion bullet to simulate performance at certain velocities at longer distances?

Edited to add: Here is the thread I'm thinking about. Is there another Wiggin's did?

Is there any difference between the MSR GJM noted and the non-MSR one (F223FS1) ?

About 150 extra fps out of a 10.5" CL Noveske bbl, ~2515 (I believe @ ~40°F). Should give you about 275yds before dropping below the 1800fps rifle wounding velocity though it expands well below that. Faster, low flash powder, crimped and sealed hard primers and hard head brass, visible iris.
