    Brous VR-71

This may be the flipper to end all flippers. I am thoroughly pleased with this knife. This spine on this thing is around 3/16" thick, but it remains an insanely efficient slicer due to the excellent hollow grind. The blade is D2 and is one of the sharpest blades out of the box I've ever encountered.

The action runs on Jason's proprietary bearing system & it is smooth as hot butter. Lock up is early & rock solid, with zero blade play in any direction. The G10 scales are very subtley contoured to provide an extremely comfortable grip in both the forward & reverse.

Bottom line, if your looking for a great value in a mid-tech all around folder, check this out. You won't be disappointed.

I am seriously jonesing on the carbon fiber model of that knife.

Yep! Just couldn't justify the price hop for the CF scales, everything else being equal. Now, had he used lightning strike carbon fiber...maybe!

    Indeed!

I have 2 T-4s, which are basically an earlier model of this sans the thumb cutout. Great handle ergos, sweet blade and flips as well or better than knives that cost 4x the price.

Jason's stuff is very good value. He's also a pretty cool dude, if you ever get the chance to chat with him.

I met Jason for the first time at Blade Show this year. Honestly, one of the nicest, most down to earth people I've ever met. I'm seriously infatuated with his knives as of now & plan to add quite a few more to the collection. What I really like is you get custom performance at literally 1/2 the price with his mid-tech stuff.

A group buy site I belong to called Massdrop has a different model Brous with carbon fiber (more of a drop point blade design). If you want to sign up you can do so here:

    https://www.massdrop.com/r/4N7LYE

Full disclosure, I get some sort of brownie points if you sign up using that link, that lead to a mystery "gift box," but I expect it's just trinkets.

You can see the blade here:

    https://www.massdrop.com/buy/brous-b...lipper?s=brous

MSRP of $449. If four more folks commit the lowest drop price is $329. Too rich for my blood, but if you have an interest in Brous blades I figured I'd pass it on.
