Last year I did a 2,000 round test on a S&W SD9VE. I am thinking of doing another test this fall, again using an "affordable" pistol. I want to start with the same criteria for which pistol to choose:
1- 9mm
2- Street price under $350
3- Not Taurus or Kel-tec. Looking for *decent* QC minimum.
Current contenders:
1- Ruger 9E ($330)
2. EAA SAR B6P compact ($272)
3. SCCY CPX-2 ($260)
4. Kahr CT9 ($313)
I am leaning toward the B6P, mostly because shooting a DA/SA sounds fun and the price is great. That being said the Ruger 9E and the Kahr seem like solid contenders for a first time pistol shooter, if not the more logical choice for most.
I would love to hear ideas from this board, it was very helpful for the first test. Thank you all in advance!
