    @Irelander, how do you like that Anytone? I've been reading up on digital radio modes and if I decide to jump, it's probably going to be the mid-tier Anytone, the tweaked BTech version, or the low end Yaesu Fusion rig.

    I'm really enjoying it. Bought it from a fellow HAM friend of mine. It's very easy to use and program and with the Abbree 18" antenna I can reach pretty far even at my place in the sticks. I've only dabbled in the digital stuff but I am enjoying learning. I don't think you would be disappointed with any of your picks but I only have experience with the Anytone.

    Thanks. I'm still trying to decide if I want to dip my toe into the digital waters. I haven't yet found that "killer app" for it. My main interest in radio is backcountry and off-grid ops (lately in the form of SOTA) and I'm not seeing the application there, but I'm an unrepentant tinkerer and could probably find plenty to tinker with in digital.
