Recommended replacement parts on Gen -2 G17

A friend of mine asked me which new gun he should get. Since I new he had an old Gen-2 G17 that he hasn't carried in years, I told him not to buy anything new and get his old G17 refurbished. I am going to install a Vickers slide stop lever & Vickers magazine release.

Aside from the parts listed below, what are the recommended replacement parts for a complete overhaul of a Gen-2 G17?

*Recoil spring assembly
*Trigger spring
*Extractor
*Extractor plunger assembly/spring/spring loaded bearing
*Slide lock spring
*Magazine springs

What about the striker assembly?

My 17 is on it's third striker so check if it's shortened at all. If not I would at least replace the striker spring. Check that the spring cups aren't rounding.

I would also replace the mag catch spring while your at it.

Striker & cups.
Sights (if they're still the original plastic POS)
Firing pin block.

I'd be careful about replacing the extractor. General consensus seems to be that the extractor you're likely to get as a replacement may be more problematic than the original.
