Not great prices, but far from the worst I’ve seen
Thanks for this - still in stock. I've got an ok supply buy all the insanity of the last year finally convinced my mom she needs to learn how to use a pistol and start carrying one. Was able to set her up with practice ammo a couple months ago but hadn't had much luck finding any good SD ammo. $20 shipping sure hurts though.

I am feeling more and more optimistic about the state of ammo.

Because availability has continued to improve and cost has continued to inch downward.

I’m a competition shooter and I have a couple years worth of gamer Syntech stocked up if I continue rationing.

But instead of having to ration for a three year recovery, I’m thinking it’ll be a year or less until I can buy what I need without restriction. It might not be the $10 a box it was pre-Covid, but I was wasting a lot of ammo before.

Availability is certainly increasing, Federal posts 9mm almost every morning.

But I feel like prices are slowly going up. Sig occasionally lists 115gr FMJ on their site, it was $18.99 for a while but the last time they posted it, it went up to $22.99. Fiocchi 115gr FMJ was on Natchez for $21.99 about a month ago, a week ago it got posted for $29.99, and Federal went up to the same price on their site. (Natchez has been pretty good about pricing reasonably over the past year.) Even in box box stores prices have slowly gone up over the past year.

I want prices to go down, I foolishly didn’t buy nearly enough when prices were good. I just haven’t noticed prices dropping at all.

I think you’re tracking the wrong numbers though.

You’re tracking the ammo places that were selling under market value. You have to look at it from 10,000 feet.

If you follow that, prices and availability have improved steadily.

There was a time where for 75c per round all you could get was junk remanufactured ammo in stock.

Now its down to 50-60c reliably for top shelf ammo.

I figure things are going to settle price wise at 45-50c for a while, but to be able to buy your ammo of choice in bulk that’ll be okay.

This was still in-stock as of today as well, FYI.

Ordered some in the hopes that it’ll feed in my wife’s new Glock 48.
