    Jay is correct.
    I would suggest
    1) LMT enhanced carrier
    2) adjustable gas block
    3) springco springs

I predict much fiddle-fart in your future.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts. I've got a LMT Enhanced Carrier inbound. I'll start there and see if that makes any significant difference. I'm looking into Slash's buffers as well.

Just make sure the buffer construction is weights which can shift back and forth instead of heavy powder...

I'd be looking at an adjustable gas block.

The adjustable gas block is something I'm starting to research. Considering how well the rifle has run for me in the past, I'd like to start with modifications that aren't permanent, but it is certainly on the table.

Tried the LMT Enhanced Carrier at the range today, paired with the H3 buffer and Red Sprinco spring. In this configuration, I seem to have traded bolt over base malfunctions for consistent failures to lock back on an empty magazine. Seems like progress...research continues.

Try the blue or white spring.

Honestly though, an AGB makes it easy.

AGB like punkey71 said. It is the answer.

I have a Noveske three way gas block on my 10.5.

    Regular/supressed/off

No problems with anything I have run through it yet. Amazing how much quieter it is when you turn it to no gas. Single shot, but no bolt/spring noise.
