Interesting is a good way to describe it.

I think it really has gone on long enough and do not believe anything productive is coming out of it at this point.

Any votes to close this down?

Not very scientific given my posts but I got out my SIRT (great video!) and watched myself in the mirror with my OWB just behind midline. I definitely would shoot down the outside of my leg with sometimes a slight angle inward. Looking at yourself doing it, is not great science but I thought I would give it a try.

Given I've been carrying and drawing that way for years - I guess that will be the way it goes for me. I have pretty decent trigger awareness (famous last words - Hey, Guys - hold me beer and watch this).

Mr_White and I were discussing his video, which I can't easily view as I am in remote AK with limited high speed connectivity. I believe he could make the definitive video, by comparing:

    1) wedged AIWB (using a pad to avert the muzzle)

    2) no wedge AIWB

    3) IWB behind the hip, with a slight cant as is typical

    4) concealment OWB, as typified by a Raven Concealment

    5) and range OWB, which is worn further forward with some offset off the body

Then, I would like him to find a male with tactical padding in his middle, and a female with a mature figure (hips). I think this would cover a wide spectrum of shooters. I have some ideas of how things will shake out, but I would rather see the video first.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

No way! When the silliness starts about what part of the leg is okay to shoot yourself in, the fun has just begun.

I found the video very useful. In addition to other body types, we may need to consider what happens when you "do it wrong." For instance, I've seen folks orient the muzzle towards themselves when trying to holster an OWB. Are the various methods more of a concern versus another when the end user doesn't use a "perfect" draw stroke?
