Sig is bringing the P225 back.

I dont know if this has been asked but can the 225A accept the 224 slim levers or are they not compatible?

I'd love to know the answer to this one.

I don't have a definitive answer, but I know the P6s and original 225s have a model specific (and discontinued) slide catch lever. The 239s have their own specific one also. The 220 and 245 share one. And the 226/228/229s all share the same part which IS compatible with the 224 style lever. I do NOT know which one the 225-A1 uses.

FWIW, it's a simple and quick whittling job to shape a standard one into a reduced size like the 224. A little polishing and a bluing pen touch up and they look just like new.

And this is why I got rid of my 225 and P6 and committed to the 239 and a small SIG. I'm not the high-volume SIG shooter I once was, but out of production parts is a no go for my carry gun.

My small SIG is a P290rs. There's a single action, too, um, 938?

Both are much, much smaller than a 239.

I'm getting a bit lost with this question and where this thread is going; has already gone; where the thread is right now.

The P225A1 is this thread's title and this firearm is similar to the P239.

In review of SIG's current website, there are also the P290, P938, and P320 models which might also be considered small (in 9mm) or smaller.
SIG's model line-up seems to be subject-to-change-without-notice and seems to change relatively often.

I tried out a P225A1. It's a bit easier to shoot and handle than the P239. I think a full 9mm/.357/.40 line of the new P225 would be interesting.....
