    Sgt. Bob Hatch, died at the age of 45 after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. We were acquaintances and had pretty similar paths to our department. About the same age, from a small town, started as dispatcher, and eventually a sworn position. It's a pretty rare individual who faces their imminent death with such incredible grace, humility, and patience. Funeral broadcast is available here:

    I would recommend you at least skip to 1:53 and watch the video he recorded for his own funeral, which nobody was allowed to watch until his "f day".
