    P229 Holster question...

    Will a railed P229 Holster fit a non-railed P229?

I wasn't sure if there was a difference in trigger guards causing compatibility issues (ex: P2000 and P2000sk).

And to answer your question, yes, in my experience.

Yes P228 and P229s will generally fit 229R holsters but not the reverse.

    You are doubly awesome.

I have a late 90's P229 in 40/357 up for sale/trade but there's not much interest. Figured I might as well just buy a conversion 9mm slide package for it. I'll be carrying a railed P229 next year, so I want to make sure I can use railed holsters instead of needing two sets of holsters.

    P229 Holster question...

I've been eyeballing that pistol. If I wasn't up to my ears in 228s, I'd of bought it.

Anyhow, I have lots of 229R holsters, both Kydex and leather, and they work for my 228s just fine. Ditto the regular 229s I've tried in the 229R holsters.
