Steve Fisher credits Dave Spaulding and Dave Spaulding says he got it from Jack Manfre at Chicago PD. What little I have tried it "For Me" it wasn't working anywhere as smooth as my normal draw stroke. Maybe my build of extremely long arms and wide shoulders that works against me here. YMMV.

I don't see that being consistent unless all your shirts are exactly the same.

This wouldn't work for me, since it's often too windy for me to leave the front of my shirt/jacket unbuttoned completely. I found a draw method from one of the members of Defensivecarry.com that works for me.
