Upgraded my 17 and 19 MOS slides to steel TangoDown plates for the ACRO. Was using CHPWS aluminum plates prior. Also, the VC-3 did not hold spec over time. Loctite 248 will be the go-to from now on. Luckily I had the Loctite glue stick already and have been using it on equipment for years. Thanks @SoCalDep

How does the SRO do with spooge being mounted so close to the breechface?

It gets dirty pretty quick. Not really a big deal when you’re only shooting 2-300 rounds a session or a day long match.

So I got to hang out with this thing for awhile. I can say it’s the coolest looking handgun I’ve ever had. The grip feels different (bigger) than a 17.5, and I never got used to it. I also just disliked the short slide-long grip the more I handled and shot it. I am having a 17.5 milled now.

Here’s a pic I took showing clean vs. after a roughly 200 round match. I didn’t notice it during my last stage of the match. Just happened to glance at it a few minutes ago. It definitely requires more TLC than my other dots.
