Exclamation Glock 19 Talo/Exo edition owners - Check your front sight

Today during draw practice, I noticed the front sight on my Talo Glock 19 loose.
The gun had 350 live rounds through it and a good number of draws from leather and kydex holsters.
After removing the front sight, I noticed that there was NO loctite applied to it, and actually what appeared
to be oil on the threads of the screw. I re-applied blue loctite and reassembled.
Needless to say, it came off at a good time....
I would suspect that any Talo/Exo edition Glock that has night sights needs to be checked.
This makes me wonder - do manufacturers that sell guns with aftermarket/night sights properly loctite them?

The first thing I do to Glocks is throw out the factory sights. I replace them with Heinie sights.

Les Baer uses Red Loctite on his sights.

Many manufacturers use dovetail sights, if they're a tight enough fit, Loctite isn't necessary.

It is good practice to check items like that anyway.

I always use RED on front sight posts and BLUE on grip screws.

Yes, check your front posts periodically. I've seen one that was in fact properly Loctite'd come off before it was ever live fired. Still can't figure out how but it happens.

GS and I had issues with Red (271) coming loose on days that get the gun really hot. 620 has been working much better.

Yup- those day long practice sessions do get the Glocks super hot. Excellent call on the 620.

    620?

Where would a guy get some of that?
    Thanks.
A good example has twice the value of good advice,...

Checking the front site for looseness is a basic part of my inspection with Glocks, no matter who installed them or what the manufacture.
