Sniper's Hide Cup 2015 trophy rifle

Link to another forum, amazing build. For you savages that prefer gas guns (DockGKR, KevinB), remember that bolt guns have soul

While I am not much of a thumbhole guy, that rifle definitely has soul.

The ebony work and the carbon fiber bedding are impressive.

I don't know Chad at LRI personally but have been following some of his work over the last couple years. He has made big strides in using CNC technology to automate the gunsmithing of accurate rifles. I believe this is the tip of the iceberg for this technology as others take his innovative ideas and use them to crate these masterpieces.

Unfortunately, no. I'm trying to talk my brother into getting into the long range matches out west with his AI AW.

It's an amazing technical achievement. Have to admit, I've never wanted a bolt action... but those PRS matches look like too much fun to ignore (and gas guns just can't keep up).

Hey, I've tried. Even McMillan and Surgeon rifles. They all had so much play at the end of the bolt travel it made them feel junky. Like racking the side on a Glock. Way too much feeling of slop. I know it's intrinsic to the design, but that's the problem. :P
