Honestly, Tony, I haven't a clue. Darrel sent me that as a gift several years ago when he was considering coming out with some knives of a more utilitarian nature than his high end art knives. He wanted to get some feedback on the knife itself, the ergonomics and the sheath which was made by his son. Back in the day he was collaborating on some work with the late Rob Simonich and incorporating Talonite into some of his pieces as well.
I wish I had more but I've kind of drifted off from the world of custom knives somewhat the last few years. I'd suggest checking bladeforums or contacting him via his website. Tell him "blues" sent ya.
