If DIY, what resources (supplies and how-to guide) do you use? If sending it off, to whom? I have been considering doing the same for my knives.
I have used these videos before on a few of my knives. Might help you out.. or not. These are not the traditional style.

There are probably a few guys that would be great to send the work out to. I would look at Ben Tendick, Ban Tang, Tom Krein, Watson, maybe Tracker Dan. Tendick is a damned wizard at it but I don't know if he will just wrap for cash or not. Ban and Tom are both known for doing custom mods.

As to supplies, you would want a suitable wrapping material. Probably a thin nylon for these purposes, but pretty much whatever that has a bit of texture should work. Then you would need a slow cure epoxy kit.

Most of the serious intentioned wraps are done by soaking the wrap in epoxy before applying the wrap. This creates a permanent and very durable structure.

Look for youtube vids of wrapping katana. Watch, practice, watch, practice, do a trial on a ruler with a hole drilled in it, tweak and rock on. Definitely easier to farm it out. Still cool to try.

I carry a custom made knife from Dee Kistner: the Moses with G10 grip panels in a sheath he made with a universal polymer belt loop mounting system.

Just had Bladerigs make a new sheath for my DB.
I'm really liking the steel clips they use so far, after a couple days wear. This one is the 1.75" for an 1.5" belt. The owner said the extra bit of wiggle room was necessary to keep the blade from sticking to you while moving around.
He was right on the money with the advice....very comfortable.
The older style stock sheath was pretty limiting as far as stable carry options, and I'm pleased with how this turned out.
Sorry about the necropost but how do you carry your db with this sheath? Both look awesome btw.

Spelingmastir. Support side carry at ten o'clock.
The DB grip sits at a 45 degree angle above the beltline
and is accessible with either hand.

Indeed. It would be an honor to bleed out from a knife like that.
