Now we've established that the Critical Duty 9mm +P and .45 are GTG, how about the .40 loading? Is it still an overpenetration hazard, or has it also been improved?
I ask this because I have co-workers that I can't seem to wean from .40 and .45, and the Critical Duty is the most readily available premium load.
I do know that there was at least one re-design to the .40 Critical Duty projectile due to feeding issues. Went from a TC-type design to one with a more rounded ogive. Hornady did swap them out for agencies that had issues. I have no idea about changes to in terminal effect, however.
