Are you looking for CCW or for use as a medkit/breaching with armor? I'm a 20-something year old, so if I were to CCW with one, I'd be looking for something not purpose built, in a "cool" pattern or color to blend in with the other college age kids. Like:

If you're looking for one more like the Eagle, check out Emdom, and 5.11 tactical.

I wouldn't personally use one like the galco, because for CCW use it screams gun for me/my demographic. But you may be in a different situation.

Chuck Haggard? Nyeti? Or did you mean a manufacturer?
I find it hard to believe people like fanny packs.
I've used the Galco for many years, I still have a blue one that is less tactical-er than the black version, but they quit making anything but black. Lately I've been using a Tommy's pack and I like it, even though there are some things I'd change about it.
The Galco has more of a holster on the inside with the neoprene insert to hold the gun, and pretty decent waterproofing type coating on the inside of the material, I've been wearing one while caught in a complete monsoon rain dump in a rain forest and had the gun stay completely dry.
The Tommy's is made of somewhat thicker material and appears to be more durable in the long run, but I haven't proofed that yet.
I use a fanny pack for when I am wearing gym clothes, or stuff like board shorts when I am on vacation in warm wet places. They are also very nice vs regular carry gear if you are backpacking. Nyeti and I have noted that they make a great, easy access "anti-car jack holster" that isn't one of the purpose built belt holsters that I think are for the most part a waste of time.
The Tommy's, which I have a large and a medium, are sometimes being used lately for my extra roadtrip pistol or other specialized work. On some road trips, or on low profile gigs like when I was in Ferguson on a protection detail, I have the large pack with a G17, four mags, two CATs, an Izzy dressing and a couple of the old GI "battlefield wound dressings, and a SureFire light and a multi tool. It's kind of a mini bail-out bag in that role.
The medium can still fit a G19, two extra mags, a light, a CAT and an Izzy.

It's a speciality thing for me, not my normal mode of carry. I use one in gym clothes, and it makes a great way to carry a 2nd gun along with other supplies. They also work well while driving depending on your car seat configuration. There are work environments where I pocket carry a j-frame but always keep a fanny pack and real gun with extra mags in the car. A fanny pack is a great grab and go tool.
I also like to sling it across my chest when talking out the garbage at night. I fish and own a bay boat. The fanny pack makes a great way to keep a real pistol and gear accessible but protected while dinking around salt water.
BTW, if you are wondering, that Galco is not waterproof if you have the whole package dumped into the Atlantic Ocean when you get hit by a large-ish breaker and the bungee on your kayak breaks, and you then have to snorkel into 20-ish feet of water to get it back.

I have a Blackhawk, size large IIRC, that has given me good service for several years. The pack easily accomodates a G19 (slide vertical) in a FIST kydex pocket holster in its own compartment, plus phone, spare mag, keys, garage door opener, etc in other compartments. I wish it weren't black, but I don't think it's available in any other color. I don't know if it's waterproof, but I doubt it.
I use it for my morning walk, about 3.75 miles, around my neighborhood, which is entirely residential. My attire is elastic waist shorts and t-shirt, and I just can't figure out how to make an IWB holster work in that situation. I understand that this thing screams gun to some folks, but it's unlikely that I'll run into strangers in my neighborhood who would/could get close enough to do a gun grab. I typically don't wear the pack out where strangers could get close enough to grab my gun.
