RDS and BIS alignment… should the dot be right on the irons?

I had a front sight break off my Unity Tactical G19 slide, and after they returned it I worked on re-zeroing the irons and dot…*and I need to reconfirm, but it seems like the dot's zero is significantly off the irons. i.e., when I look down the iron sights, the dot is down and to the right. Is this normal, or should I try remounting my RMR to see if I put it on crooked?

    Zero the dot first.

Then move the irons to match.

In rare cases, the BIS are not the right height and need to be changed to match the correctly zeroed dot position, but that is VERY rare, like 1 time is several hundred pistols...
