M10 - Hollow Grind vs Full Flat?

I carry the previous iteration of the Gryphon (Terzuola) M10 daily. I've been considering picking up a spare and saw this new version with a full flat grind. For defensive use is there any real benefit to either?

I really wish they'd make a trainer version but such is life.

    Thanks!

I vastly prefer flat ground blades, but the real answer, imo, is no.

IMHO(yes, I know what that is worth), a convex grind is the optimum for a combat knife. If you are relying on a blade for SD, then it is a combat knife.

A thousand years of Japanese sword making freaking geniuses had to have something on the ball.

Next would be a chisel grind.

Full flat grind makes for a very sharp and fairly durable blade though.

Thank you gents. I'll probably snag one of these just to have an example of each.

I ordered one of these and it was super dull (i was expecting razor sharp, like the 3 Gryphon m30a1 models I bought). 30 minutes on the SharpMaker, and it was GTG... But, I didn't feel the urge to order 2 more (like I tend to do with knives I like).
