That is a *bit* out of my price range, sadly...

And with that, you could have dropped 200 pounds, several times over.

While I enjoy my range officer, I would wait for the lightweight commander XSE, because pony.

Totally do the 9mm colt. If you were thinking Beretta+trip to Wilson, just swap out "Beretta" for "new 9mm XSE" and do that. End result=guaranteed awesome.
This is a thread where I built a boat I designed and which I very occasionally update with accounts of using it, which is really fun as long as I'm not driving over logs and blowing up the outboard.

Yeah, as a Connecticut native I have a certain loyalty to Colt. I would hold off on the trip to Wilson for a while, though, as the base gun will probably already be my fun budget funds.

Yeah but...Wilson'd Colt. You're going to be some kind of hybrid superdoctor, might as well get the gun to match.

A hybrid superdoctor who will not be making very much money for the next 8 years

I have no problem shooting the base gun for a while before I save up the scratch to get it sent off. Will help me figure out what I want to do with the money, anyway.

Do most people recommend 5" or 4.25" guns for 9mm?

I've pretty started ignoring Chuck. He's too serious for a retired dude.
