I tried that, is a little closer, but its just the long handle that is a problem. Honestly, I am not sure how you get a REI grip on a knife carried horizontally at 11:00 if you are right-handed anyway. Pulling straight up from 3:00 accomplishes that quite well. This is one of the many things I hope to learn more about if/when I can someday get into your class. Seeing if I can work the MDTS class in July, but three days is a tough sell to my home supervisor.

I considered the Spydie P'kal but decided on a Clinch Pick due to the longer grip on the Spydie. Ordered me up a Bravo unit from CCDefense on Friday.

I think mine will be going up in the for sale section shortly. The handle is just too long for its designated purpose. JMO.

I'm having trouble with the long handle also. I'm thinking about cutting the grip between the 2nd and 3rd studs and rounding it off. Thoughts?

I'm working on shorter G10 handles. Time is being a bitch though.

Yeah, I know how that goes. The 2/3 length tang is a nice feature of this blade because new or modified handles can be shorter. I may get out the Dremel and disc sander...

Curious about the Bravo Unit. Did you get it yet? What kind of "blemishes/defects" did you notice?
