Good size Pelican case to fly with??

    Hey guys,
I am going to be flying and will need to check in my pistol, two mags, and a box of ammo. I need a little help figuring out the right size Pelican case (or equivalent) to buy.

    Thanks

I've got this one. The best part is it'll fit in the overhead bins of all the airlines. That way it'll do double duty if you're not taking a pistol along.

I've flown with this case w/o any problems. Easily fits two handguns, mags, holster and a box of carry ammo, all for a reasonable price.

Did you check it as a separate bag or place it in your luggage after the TSA check?

I use the Pelican 1470 case designed for a laptop.

I fly with my pistol in a biometric safe. It does double duty in my rental car that way, since I'm in and out of customers all day. None of the Pelicans I looked at fit well into my suitcase (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009...521878-8338752, crazy recommended but not easy to get in the states).
