    Blocked ip

im obviously not banned, since I'm posting now, but when I try to access the site from my work computer I get a blocked ip message with a link to contact admin, which takes me to the exact same blocked ip screen.

Apparently my company uses a proxy server that makes it look like I'm somewhere I'm not (when I open google maps it shows me in VA somewhere based on IP).

    Any way to fix this?

We need your banned IP address to start looking. You can get that from a web site: http://whatismyipaddress.com/

This might not be it but some security/virus systems have an option to block gun and porn sites. That occurred to me at work until I complained that it was violating my academic freedom and research (for the gun sites, you comedians). It's common at open computers or access - saw it at the car dealership waiting room.

The company does block, but I can accept and override. Sometimes it goes through, sometimes it doesn't.

JV I'll pm you my ip. I'm probably not supposed to post it.

Interesting to hear others have had this trouble.

I just had the very same problem occur multiple times recently while traveling in other states, and trying to access p-f on my iPhone using the Chrome browser.

My iPhone's IP address is 192.168.1.8

You need to go to some place like www.whatismyipaddress.com to get your public IP, the IP you've listed is a private one and one that's likely behind a NAT device or a proxy.

    SAWBONES,

That is a private IP. The admins will need your public IP. The best way to find that is to open your phone's browser, and go to http://whatismyip.com. It will tell you in big bold numbers what your public IP is.
