So 6-7 months by conventional submission versus about a month by e form?

Can a trust also do a form 1 by e-submission?
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

    Yes sir.

BTW Form4 have been reported to be down to 4-5 months, my shop has stated they have seen them back on paper submission as fast as 3.5 months (quickest amongst their customers).

My last successful e-form came through in 2 months. Then the whole system went down while I had 2 cans in jail. I waited several months, and then on the advice of the dealer, switched to paper forms. It took nearly a year total :-(

From what I've heard, the e-forms are going through really fast now.

The blog at Gun Trust Lawyer is a decent site for NFA news. http://www.guntrustlawyer.com/

    Allegedly 50% of MSRP
SilencerCo is also on 3point5 now, too (which is neat if you work for a Silencerco dealer) I think 50% off MSRP.

As for the topic of the thread, check cashed Dec. 23 2014 on a Specwar 762. Too bad that it seems futile to try it on my shiny new AUG. Oh well.

    In the back of beyond
Waiting on a 9mm GemTech multi-mount, SilencerCo .45 Octane, and a Military Armament Corporation 10.

I spread them out, every couple of months or so........that way they are clearing every 10-18 weeks, and makes waiting on shit less painful. Or buy a bunch several weeks before heading out the door for deployment. Come home to NFA Christmas!

Currently, IIRC, you can only do E-Form's as an entity.

Individuals require signatures and those forms must be mailed.

    Exactly.

Form 4s are paper only right now.

Form 1s are paper or E File. However, E File Requires submission via Trust.

ATF sent an email out a couple weeks ago saying that they are expecting E File for Form 4s to be back up late 2015 (So figure 2016).

They have added some contract employees that have cut the times way down.

    E File Form 1s in ~30-45 days
Paper Form 3s in ~1.5-2 months
Paper Form 4s in ~3-4 months

It seems like those times are getting even better lately.

If anyone is on the fence regarding Class 3 stuff, now is the time to jump in. Get a Trust and get going!
