Oklahoma Run n Gun (biathlon)

So I just found out about this. 5k or 10k running biathlon. 5-8 stages. 7 yards to 500 yards. Rifle +pistol.

Anyone ever done this or something similar? I'm seriously considering doing it. Excellent excuse to do some 10k training. Seems like a great way to stress test both fitness and shooting.

They have a "special" prize for anyone who wins with a Garand. So of course I now have to use my Garand instead of an AR...

One of my fellow Appleseed instructors has done it a few times and enjoys them. If I can regain some cardio and burn a few ounces off I'd like to try it.
