Current state of the AK

Rob Ski is saying his PSA 102 is about a 2" gun. Seems pretty decent to me especially for what the gun is.

Lapua used to make 7.62x39 that was known to be both stupidly expensive and have good accuracy.

I'm pretty sure Lapua still makes it, it just doesn't get imported any more.

Although, with ammo prices for 7.62x39 going up due to lack of steel-cased former-com bloc fodder, that might change.

Recoil published an article years back testing the accuracy of 762x39 rounds. Surprisingly to them some of the Animal ammunition did very well beating out many of the brass cases rounds. As I recall Brown Bear and other Bernal made rounds were at the top of the list. This also seems to be confirmed by Rob Ski.

Of course in todays market this article has little practical application.

A sample of one but the Palmetto AK-103 seemed to prefer the imported stuff.
