    Just started shooting Steel Challenge

    Hey guys,
I have just started shooting some Steel Challenge matches to help with fast shots on multiple targets (and its A LOT of hearing steel ring). I routinely carry a USPc 9 with Heinie Night sights with the front blade painted orange and I also shoot this in the matches. I am having trouble quickly hitting the 6 and 7 inch plates at 20 yards because the front sight looks like a trash can against that small steel. Chest size steel at that distance - no problem. Is there any way to improve this without changing sights? Three of my 5 USP's have Heinie's and I love them, just need some tips on getting better.

    Thanks again

Can you paint a stripe down the middle of the front sight, rather than painting the whole thing?

Have you had the rear sight opened up to .156", like the Heinie Qwik? That may help getting some light bars around the front. It doesn't help with the width of the front, but it helps with the ratio of front to rear.
