Between Bellingham and destination in AK, you have to tell yourself the engine won't quit, which we all know is a lie, because there is a lot of coastline with not good options of where to park it.
A buddy of mine has been in a Caravan and PC-12 that had engine failures. In the Pilatus, they dead sticked it onto a road, and rolled into the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express, checked in and hung out until the NTSB showed up. Had a plane full of investment bankers in back, who started writing I love you messages to their wives.

passenger footage from the recent mid-air helicopter crash:
With the time change, that outage happened a little early for us although we were hitting the airport around the time it was resolved. Did the outage impact just 121 scheduled service, all instrument flight plans, or all flights? Hoping Foreflight would flash a message if we got above 10 feet AGL!

A buddy was telling me that the 747 has engine anti ice but no wing or tail deice? The slats being so effective at slow speeds and at cruise speed the ice is burned off by the high TAS. Any 74 drivers here?
