Here is one of my favorites from the National Museum of the USAF in Dayton, Ohio: http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/fac...eet.asp?id=592

For some reason, I was always fascinated by the XB-70 and other big, fast, bombers like the B-1B. Let's not leave out the swept wing beauties built by Grumman, the F-14 and F-111.

I love the sound of a JT-8D taxiing by. It's a shame the 727, DC-9, and 737-200's are almost extinct these days!

Ya'll need to come by GA and go to the 8th Air Force museum in Savannah and the Robins Air Force Base museum in middle GA.

Also, I've got this thing for the B-1B. Isn't there a Bone driver here?
Yes, there is. He's a solid dude. He might be deployed right now, I have not seen him post in a bit.

Hawker Hunter. De Havilland Dragon Rapide. De Havilland Sea Hornet (but not the night fighter variants.)

ETA: Oh, and my all-time favorite, the Curtiss P-6E.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

There's a ton of cool USN fighters from the late 50s to early 60s that no one seems to remember about any more. Many were McDonnell Aircraft products such as the Banshee and Demon.
