Really! My Grandfather's farm is within walking distance to Belgiumtown. When we (me and friends) have our yearly shooting get-together at my uncle's camp, we walk to Belgiumtown when the shooting is done. PM inbound...

The Spanish Fork Airport is hosting an airshow this weekend and the Commemorative Air Force B-17 Sentimental Journey is here. Here's a short video I shot today
We wish to thank the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement, without whose assistance this program would not have been possible.

Opened up the hangar for the first time today. Took stock of what was there, and what’s needed. Inside and doors need some TLC, but nothing some spray grease and a pressure washer can’t solve. Walked the runway. Lots of bear and wolf poop. Lol. Wheel pants stayed on long enough for a few pics...back onto the shelf. Not my jam. Intercom set up, a few other airplane items sorted out. Need a flag on the ceiling.

Working on my Instrument rating, and getting my complex endorsement while getting checked out on a new club plane. I had to use a CFII that was approved by the club for my check out. Turns out he is a Sergeant at Phx PD in real life. We went down to Bisbee for breakfast and he snapped this cool shot.

Um, I’m certainly no pilot, but wouldn’t this fall under the category of “stupid people in stupid places doing stupid things?”

The momentum of the stupid suspended human destabilized/overwhelmed the tail rotor?

The helicopter had a pilot in the right front seat and an observer in the right rear seat. The line that suspended the two people being lifted went over the right skid instead of being attached to a hook in the center of the belly of the helicopter. The combination of two inside and two outside the helicopter on the right side caused the helicopter to be out of its CG envelope to the right and there was insufficient left cyclic to keep the helicopter from turning right. Probably near the bottom there was some settling with power thrown in for good measure.

It is amazing the helicopter landed upright and didn't roll.
