So if Glock is decided upon for being "the one", what does everybody suggest in terms of 19 vs 17 vs 34 for picking one of them that is best for duty belt carry, as well as AIWB carry off duty?

A 34 is already carried on duty, so it would be pretty easy to just grab another 34 to carry off duty and set it up the same way...

A 34 is already carried on duty, so it would be pretty easy to just grab another 34 to carry off duty and set it up the same way...

An advantage inherent to going with the G17 is that the receiver and magazines are the same for it and the G34. So your muscle memory and index should be already there. And holsters that work for your G34 by default will work for your G17...and, for that matter, for a G19.

Or, as you've stated, simply choosing a second G34 for off-duty carry.

If you both like, prefer, and shoot better with a G19, there's your decision. But, as you've inferred, choosing 2 pistols, one for duty and another for off-duty is the ticket, regardless of your ultimate decision/choice.
