Thread: A revolver tour

Here is part 4. It is probably the least "cool" of my wheelguns, but it's the one that means the most to me. The EAA Bounty Hunter 22 Magnum.

Part 5 is up today, and we're talking about my wee little Ruger kit gun. This gun ends up going a lot of places, even if it doesn't get shot a lot. Would it be my first choice for self defense? No way. But it is pretty awesome.

I've been tempted by that pistol several times. If 22 was more plentiful I would probably own already.

22 is basically back, you just have to be willing to pay a couple ducats more than you used to.

You are correct, sir. I nearly bought a Security Six last Friday. Yours looks great!

Part 7: My 640 Pro Series. I talk about this revolver a lot on the blog, because I'm hard pressed to find a better carry gun than this.

I like mine a lot ! Real sights, no lock. I wish they would make it in an alloy frame.
How are those grips to shoot ? I avoided them because they looked like an ECQC retention nightmare. I have no experience with the grips so that is a theory.

That 640 Pro looks sweet, especially without that goofy hole in the side of the frame. Not a fan of moon clips, but they aren't necessary, so that's a wash. How do you like those Ergo Grips (particularly from a retention standpoint)?

I've never done any retention work with them; they're great for concealment and actually shooting the gun, though. They did take a little getting used to.
