I've never seen a doll that wasn't expressionless and dull in the eyes.

I'm guessing this film will do fine and the hardcore fans will nitpick a lot, like any movie.

In SAC, the Major's eyes resembled more that of a predator than a doll- my opinion, of course.

The winning formula for these types of anime to real life transitions has always been nearly copying some of the more iconic and robust scenery. While I doubt we will see as much nudity as GITS actually had, especially not some of the weird pedofile level scenes, but will see most of the same action scenes.

I really hope this is a hit, not because of SJH but because of there are a dozen animes I want to see turned into Hollywood movies.
