I had my choice between this and a Taurus 9mm carbine...

If you'd picked the latter, I'd have rained on your parade too.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

    Good idea.

Your threads a while back got me interested in a .308 carbine; until I realized I didn't have a round of .308 to my name, and I looked into current prices of that stuff.

$0.70 a round is the going rate for good brass .308.

Not the stuff that goes where you point it every single time......that's more like $1.00+ each

I've had good luck with PMC and Lake City at .70 per.
An iron sighted FAL probably doesn't require match ammo to meet my accuracy expectations.

PS a has bulk pack brass case lake city 308. I've had very good luck with it. Weidner's currently has IMI brass case 308 bulk pack 500 rounds for $2 99.

    My BAD
Wish they stuck to specs. Meaning none of my Colts had a long extractor. BTW I also like short extractor sigs over -1 .

As far as 70 vs 80. I like both. prefer a 70 but had excellent luck with a gen 1 Colt 80 Combat Elite.
