I have 3 of Bruce's Precision Intermediate Triggers in various Sigs that came with short riggers. The bottom line is that they are excellent. One did require a trip back to Gray Guns for minor fitting to clear the trigger guard, but the other two dropped right in without problem.

The benefits to these triggers are twofold. First, their geometry eliminates the bite that some shooters experience with factory short triggers. Second, they eliminate excess over travel - the break is literally at the very end of the trigger pull.

I find the SRT to compliment Bruce's triggers to create one of the best DA/SA pulls and resets in the industry.
I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.

If memory serves me right, the Coast Guard doesn't have the coated internals and they don't seem to feel the need to. I wouldn't worry about it. (says that guy who bought the Mk25 to do the exact same thing you said you did and was worried about rust. =D)

    Rich,

What works for me is to use a man bag on the boat. Once I get away from the landing, I'll stick the bag in a the dry storage compartment. It's accessible and protected from the elements.

    Thanks

I use to carry it on me.
Main reason was to boat sharks and then for SD.
